The stone for this Suiseki is of malachite, turquoise, chrysocolla, and a pocket of quartz crystal set in copper ore from the open pit copper mine in Bagdad, Arizona. The stone is about the size of an open hand. The Daiza is carved from a piece of mahogany that came from a packing crate used to return military equipment from the Pacific following WW II.
