New* Voices Contributors
in Issue Forty
We
have a contributor new to you, but not to us, a classmate and friend
Christine (Hathwell) Olsen Davis. Christine received the 1989-90 Judson
Q. Owen award for creative writing. She taught creative writing at
Boise State University. Christine is shaped by her Mohave
Desert childhood. Fascinated by the interaction of people with
each other and their world, in her published book Ice and Apples, she
explores those riddles with insight and wise humor. Her poetry reads
clearly to the elegant, raw, emotional depth of one who doestn't hold
back. We add that Christine is Sherman E.Burroughs high school
classmates with Nathan Spooner and Daniel Hanne (Photos guy). See
her poem Dreaming in Poetry.
Casper is a new writer for us from the South Bay.
Hunter is a new writer for us from the Pacific Northwest. He is the
brother of Addison, both are cousins to Casper and Veronica.
We have new lyrics by Martha Stromberg and Nathan Spooner. See
Music.
Issue 40 presents more from old friends Judy (also a classmate at
Burroughs), James, Sara (also Burroughs), and Veronica. And Warren
Crane (Burroughs again). Our thanks as always to them.
