Into
The Wind By Dave
Overgard Mark
has just rejoined
Red down by the lake when his time transforming suit starts visualizing
what
Red had seen the night Blue disappeared. <<***>>
As Red was describing all of the
wonderful changes that OBedienent Servitude “OBS” would have on Mark
his time
transforming suit over powered all that Red was promoting.
Going into what appeared as a transfixed expression
his imbedded sim card recorded all that Red was saying so he could pick
right
up after his suit returned him from his transfixed state.
Repeating what she was saying was a special
talent that Mark had developed to recover when his suit took over .
It was apparent from his time travel
thru Red’s memory that both Blue and Red were at the lake the night
Blue
disappeared. His vision depicted Blue on
the low over hanging branch of the large oak tree beside the lake. Blue’s pose was reminiscent of Kate Winslet’s
pose as Rose DeWitt on the bow of the Titanic.
As she faced into the wind
her transparent blue gown blowing behind
her just covered her nakedness in the most alluring manner. It seemed this was the last place
to haunt before she disappeared. Along
with the vision a multitude of drivers licenses and false
ID’s were
registered. Thankful that Mark had set
his sim to record any and all visions he experienced.
He would down load the visions if and when he
ever escaped the clutches of Red. The
vision terminated with Blue fading and the blue gown left entangled
with the
branches. Rapidly replaying the sim conversation Mark is able to pick
up the
conversation as Red says"I can
make you one of the most
subservient beings to walk the
face of this planet." Red leans in and softly
states “eventually, simple items like that can also be altered. As you saw at the club there are
many life
forms acceptable today. You would make a stunning Amazon. It would not
be too much of a stretch." "Mr. Smith is it? Chuckling as she
continues
"you doubting Thomas, like almost every other
male, you have yet to fully
grasp the pleasures and implications
of OBS technology. Listen:" And she
proceeds to explain, in a summarily oversimplified manner, the
mechanics of OBS. Red taps
a finger on the watch; it gives a faint bluish glow. A hologram of her lab appears. The updated dungeon is a
masterful work of modern day behavior modification devices. “Do I have your agreement
for performing your OBS?” “How will it work? Mark
questions. A digital model of you
brain well be etched
but not directly into the circuitry, but in the mechanics of a piece of
software that, when running, will emulate the workings of your new OBS flesh-and-blood
brain down to the sub-neuron
level. This model, will run on a supercomputer, until we can achieve the behaviors I desire. Then
it will be connected to your
body through a cranial implant (the technology to splice nerve endings
in much the same way that the receiver of a 20th century cordless phone
was connectend to its
base. To be
