Love in the Quantum World

Love in the Newtonian world, predictable
and based on reactions to encountered data.
Love in the Quantum world,
unpredictable and not based on reactions to encountered data.
Love in our world environment: not
predictable, more than just reaction to stimuli, can result in emotional overload.
So for a counter to the
determinist philosophy, can we say that love is in the category of the
metaphysical? What would Descartes say on this?
So can we say that Quantum
randomness more easily explains the metaphysical?
So for the critique of Descartes
and his characterization of the “Ghost in the machine”… how can you demonstrate
it to be false?
Wow, all those years studying
philosophy at UC Berkeley really paid off.
But then, maybe it had something
to do with graduating from Berkeley and then making my living playing music on
the streets of Berkeley and San Francisco, living in a shared house south of
campus, total expenses less that 80 or 90 dollars a month. That’s what really defined the cosmic connection for
certainty in our quantum world. And as I
now tell my grandchildren about those times when we lived right next door to
the hippies. Remember them?
