Arroyo
Country is desert. We understand if you see the desert only as beige
sand
and shades of sage or green brush and
cactus, and blue gray white skies, and
purple
mountains in the distance, brown hills not so distant. It is way too
hot (but a dry heat). But
when there is water, and it doesn't take much water, you see
colors
not seen in the deep green forests of other lands. And so this display.
No one on Voices campus is a professional photographer, no
Annies
or Ansels here. We point and shoot a small part of what ordinary folk
see
when they get up and
out and look at
the beauty of our desert mountains, hills, and streams.
