I Don’t Want a Nap
I’m not tired at all!
I won’t go to sleep.
If you make me I’ll bawl!

I’ll complain. I’ll cry. I’ll scream.
I’ll whine & jump & sass.
I’ll moan & groan & pitch a fit
‘til nap time has passed.

I don’t want to nap.
I’m not tired I said.
I’m simply not sleepy from
my toes to my head.

I’m really awake – as awake as can be.
Why you truly must know I’m
not tired CAN’T YOU SEE?

I won’t go to sleep.
I won’t I have said.
I won’t get more rest.
I’ll just lay down my head.

You can’t make me sleep.
I won’t shut my eyes.
If you make me, I’ll scream
For two whole Julys’.
