A Cowboy's Day

J. Price

 Just riding on my horse,
Crossing the big prairie.
        Listening to country songs
        seems so necessary.

The Sun is shining bright.
I wave my hat real high.
         I’m rocking and rolling.
        And my diapers still dry.

 I love playing cowboy,
And have no need to fuss.
        It’s hot and I’m sleepy.
        Seems stopping now’s a must.

 Cuz I’m hungry for lunch,
And want to take a nap.
       Gonna’ quit riding now
       And cuddle in Mama’s lap.
