 Autumn’s Pantoum

Golden leaves of birches

Pumpkins smiling

The scent of cinnamon penetrates my senses

And the sound of children’s laughter

Pumpkins smiling

Maple trees sway, cloaked in brilliant crimson

And the sound of children’s laughter

Fills the air with peace and contentment

Maple trees sway, cloaked in brilliant crimson

And spread their offerings as a breeze

Fills the air with peace and contentment

The time for candlelight and warm supper by the fire has come

Autumn, a time of endings and beginnings

The scent of cinnamon penetrates my senses

And the love of family past mingles with love present and

Golden leaves of birches
